The Netherlands and Australia have formally signed a Strategic Partnership, marking a milestone in our bilateral relations and establishing a long-term framework for enhanced cooperation.
Dutch Prime Minister, Minister-president Rob Jetten, signed the partnership with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, on the margins of the UN General Assembly High Level Week in New York.
PM Jetten wrote that we are strengthening our cooperation on trade, climate, energy and security, among others. We also work together to support Ukraine and to defend the multilateral system.
This is necessary in a world where Europe and the Indo-Pacific are becoming ever more closely connected.
